The Original New Timbre Orchestra

Are these the musical fore-father's of Tonto Savalas? Meet Tonto's Expanding Head Band. Apparently, they were really into moogs and such.

As most of you know I am a vintage synthesizer junkie. I was very pleased that you mentioned the T.O.N.T.O. system on your blogpage. Stevie Wonder used T.O.N.T.O. extensively on his "Songs In The Key Of Life" album in 1979. T.O.N.T.O. Originally a Moog modular designed by Malcolm Cecil. It is now a combination of Moog, Serge (with moog-like panels), Oberheim, Arp 2500/2600, and Blacett panels/moduals. One of the goals of my life is to sit down with the T.O.N.T.O. system for an extended programming session. I just recently recieved an ARP Solus that I am fixing up.

I was wondering whether you knew about them. The first thing i saw was that funky, old-timey picture of the two guys. When I got to that great picture of the T.O.N.T.O. sci-fi monstrosity, I figured you'd want to see it if you didn't already know.
